WUWF Public Media is a community outreach of the University of West Florida.  For over 25 years, WUWF has served the Gulf Coast community with a wide variety of local, national and international programming, designed to keep you informed and entertained, all in a commercial free environment.

It is the mission of WUWF to present, promote, preserve and encourage musical and spoken-word arts through our broadcast, web, and community outreach programs; provide credible, in-depth news and information to the public; serve as a vital community catalyst and a forum for the exchange of ideas; and to secure a sound fiscal basis for the continuation of public radio in Northwest Florida and South Alabama.

WUWF 88.1 FM is your official emergency alert system broadcaster, keeping surrounding communities informed of dangerous situations and evacuation routes.   WUWF is your reliable source for community arts information. Part of our public service mission is to keep you informed about regional cultural and educational events.  WUWF is active in both educational and community outreach, partnering with multiple schools each year for enrichment and enhancement projects such as visiting artists and reading, writing and recording projects.

Listener support and fundraising efforts make up 46% of WUWF’s budget and it is what makes the mission and vision of WUWF possible.  Please know that 25% of all purchases made on this site will go directly to WUWF with no administrative fees.

Due to restrictive interstate shipping laws, at the present time, we are unable to ship to Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Utah.
